Hornet is pretty asocial and until the start of the game proper probably hasn't had consistent contact with people for quite possibly several hundred years...hell it's questionable if you can even call what happens within the game 'consistent contact'. So...yea just keep that in mind for all these things. She's also an insect so if xenobiology isn't your thing might not want to take things in that direction.
